1. My friend is a neuroscientist as well as a psychiatrist, and she said patients with anterograde amnesia like this woman doctor, who still retain their intellects are often active in self-help. For example, a computer scientist who suffered this, did all the research he could to improve his condition, which is reversible in many cases. The flaw of this drama is that there is no way for a neurosurgeon like the FL with intact intellect NOT to cure herself, e. g. demand medical records or prescribe MRI, PET, CRT on her own brain, search for medications, treatments on her own. The notion that she just passively takes medications given by another doctor, not even take a look at her own brain, do self-diagnose is just too incredulous.
