Synopsis: Lee In is a prince. His older brother is King Lee Sun, who cares about him a lot. Vowing loyalty to his older brother, Lee In is taken hostage by the Qing Dynasty. King Lee Sun soon views his younger brother’s loyalty as betrayal and begins to hate him. Lee In endures deep emotional pain because of this.
Lee In then meets an unknown baduk player who wagers on her games. He is completely fascinated by the baduk player. Through circumstances, Lee In becomes the king. He holds the highest position and is a strong person, but he is sad and weak internally.
When Kang Hee Soo was gaining fame as an unknown baduk player, she met Prince Lee In and fell in love with him. Through a vortex of fate, she becomes a spy. She approaches King Lee In to get her revenge.

  4. I don’t know why the bad comments towards the main actress in just 2 episodes, and she really does it well, the drama is good, it has good actors. Enjoy it. The best-known actresses are not always hired!!!!

  8. Hella hate towards FL, Shin Se Kyung. I thought she was fantastic in “Run On” with Im Si-Wan, they had lovely chemistry together, and her character was quirky. I think she is suited to play historical roles where the FL’s character is more rigid (back in the old historic days, women who were in high places were expected to behave in a very reserved manner). She started acting quite young so she has been acting for about 20 years now. Her acting has gotten better over the years, but still is not great. “Pretty privilege” is a real thing in South Korea, beautiful people are treated better. Her beauty has attracted a lot of fans and she is very popular. But I’m still a fan, because I think she really tries to portray each role honestly. IMHO, her acting is a reflection of her real-life personality which is really quite BORING. How do I know ? If you are having problems sleeping, just watch some of her videos on her utube channel and interviews…you’ll fall asleep quickly. hahaha .

    I think SSK should try playing a baddie, like a villainess psycho. Her exterior beauty would hide her inner psychopathic evil personality. It could be a role that helps her break out of her rigid shell

  11. Two episodes in and it looks interesting. It is period, but they aren’t going over the top. They are filling the characters out and pacing the story.

  14. I love to watch kdrama especially the main leads are pretty faces. The plot and the story line very realistic. I don’t like to watch violent show /movie/dramas. The leads actors and actresses acting presicely well as long as not too overacting and trying hard I am okey to be honest. There are so many ugly and nasty people around us, so the kdrama with pretty main leads and funny story line , it’s a kind of comforting put one’s feet up settle back simmer down sit around . Don’t worry about thier blant acting is hard to put up of various different techniques to create believable characters and them to really put themselves in the place of a character.

  22. Damn, I’m not the only one cringing at seeing who is playing the Fl. I’m sorry to feel this way, but she has a very bad track record and I don’t understand why she keeps getting lead roles when there are so many more talented actresses being overlooked/cast as 2nd and 3rd characters. Maybe she has some connections etc. I hope she has miraculously improved, because this looks like it could be a good drama. Let us all just bow our heads and pray.

  23. Not this actress again !!! The synopsis is great and the cast also looks promising but then it’s SSK as a female lead !!! This actress doesn’t fit to take a lead role, she doesn’t have that aura and she’s always outshined by the other actresses and never has chemistry with the male lead. She ruined several dramas for me in the past, did the same for Arthdal Chronicals and now this drama >_<

  33. Was going to watch this for the handsome Jo Jung Suk but the actress is a HUGE NO!!! She can’t act AT ALL!!! Would have chosen a better actress, anyone but her. Heck! I’d even settle for Black Pink Jisoo or Song Hye Kyo, horrible actresses too but still watchable but not this actress. This girl is all stiff and unemotional. She has a rbf throughout all her damn dramas. To bad, I’d watch it maybe only for Jo Jung Suk or the rest of the cast but not her. She’s beyond painful to watch. I can sense blind fans coming after me because of this comment but who cares. It’s a free country, freedom of speech
